Necklace order for Kate

So my friend Kate ordered three necklaces to be made for Yule. Two for her niece's and one for her sister...

Started on one of the niece's today. Will be in red and black with an onyx wire wrapped stone. Going to attempt to wire wrap a spider onto the onyx and strands for necklaces will be in black and red round beads..Basic concept for necklace drawn but seeing as its a work in progress I may add to it as I continue making the necklace...

Well looks like our creative brains are working...Also got a partner in crime and creativity. Welcome Tiffany Butler!

Tiffany will be soon working on a collection of Fairy Tutus and we are also working on a collection of "Diaper Cakes" Great for centerpieces at Baby Showers or for a custom gift for a soon to be Mommy.

Princess dresses are in the works by custom order...There are currently two styles and price varies depending on type of fabric you would like used...Since these are custom dresses for that special Princess in your life I take the color choices you would like and find fabric ideas that I will then discuss with you to make her the dress of her dreams...Princess dress come in sizes 3-4, 5-6, 7-8. Please state which size you would like when mentioning color combos... I am still working on the model dress of the second style but here is Style #1.

Also taking orders for custom necklaces. I use semi-precious stones that I then wire wrap according to the stones wants (Yes I know it sounds strange). I then make a necklace with the wire wrapped pendant according to your color/stone choices. Picture of sample necklaces to be posted soon.

Not my summer

So during travels I went from Wisconsin to Washington and then from Washington to Texas...Due to the space in the suitcases I opted to send a box by US mail to texas with my jewelry making stuff...Of course funds were limited and I was unable to insure the box...

Trust me kicking myself in the butt for this...I get the box all beat to hell and almost all my stuff was gone...Which included my plier kit...I did purchase a new one but am unsure if the small tupperware box with all my completed jewelry was also in there...

Roomie is soon to starting shipping the stuff still in WA back to me here in WI and I am praying that the completed jewelry is somewhere among the boxes...Otherwise it will be sad indeed to loose all those completed pieces of jewelry...

Until then, I will continue to make more and also finish wire wrapping the stones that I do have...

A Kiss of Blush

First Attempt at a Ring

So wanted to try my hand at making a ring having never attempted one before.

At first it was a bit difficult wrapping it while on my finger, but once I got what I needed and slipped it off it was easier to work with.

I choose to wire wrap the whole ring to make it more durable since the wire is 24 gauge. All in all it turned out pretty good.

I think I've lost my mind

So no kidding I have not been sleeping. I try..I get in my PJ's grap the MP3 and lay my head on the pillow and close my eyes, but instead of seeing my fantastic normal crazy dreams of zombies, vampires and all out bad assness, I see....wait for it...beads! thats right I lie in bed for hours imagining the beads I have and creating jewelry in my mind. So I sucumb to the creativity and wake up grab my wire and start wrapping.

Last night it was the Moss Agate calling to me to be dressed. It sure gave me hell though. After a few hours of frustration I put it away and finally fell asleep only to wake a few short hours later, where I grab my materials and continue to tackle the Agate. Not only and I pleased with how the necklace came out but I also managed to finish another necklace for niece's Easter Basket, a second pair of Easter Rose Earrings, and two pairs of Frosted Lilac Earrings all before my shower.

Now I am fed, clean and ready for more!

Blue Moon Necklace is finished

So the Sodalite necklace is finished and pleased with how it turned out. Would like to do another one with howlite stones instead of the faux pearls. Look for it soon in my shop.

Wrapped Ritulated Quartz

This stone was difficult to wrap, but after a few hours and many swear words its finish and I am pleased with how it turned out...Now to make the necklace part.

Sodalite Rewrapped

After talking to my wonderful sister in law, I decided to play around more with the Sodalite stone. I started at about 10pm and am pleased with how it turned out. I will be adding another spiral on the otherside as well.

bobbypins in progress

I wanted to try a sample bobbypin to see if I like it..I didn't have much choices for beads so used what I had..

All in all pretty happy with how the prototype turned out. I will make finished product using 32 gauge wire and Seed Beads as well as Miyuki Triangle Beads.

Here is a pic of the prototype, sorry not a very good one. Will up load more as I complete them.

So figured I would play around with wrapping the Sodalite stone I got...Saw an instrutional pdf on how to wrap stones and this was my take on it..Not sure yet if I like it..What are your thoughts?

Ostara Inspiration

With Easter around the corner I had not thought to what I wanted to do for the kids. Do I make baskets this year or not?

Then my sister talked me into going shopping for Easter baskets and since I start making jewelry I thought it would be a good time to get supplies so off to the store we went. When I saw the basket it was a hit in the face. My mind exploded with creative ideas inspired by the basket and my wonderful neice Braylee.

I bought the basket and began to plan things to add to it...These items will be made with her in mind but will also make some to sell on my Etsy shop for all the other lil girls who like being pretty and princess like..

Expect pictures so as I finished the final projects for now here are some pics of the basket that inspired me.

As of right now I plan on making her some wrapped boobypins, earrings, necklaces, and bracelets..

Watch for more of my princess collection to appear.
